What is the Starr Life?
The Starr Life is the idea that every person can live a life above and beyond the Earth. Stars exist and we experience stars as being well above us way up in the sky. We don’t see storms, we don’t see turmoil, we don’t see wars happening in the sky. That’s the idea. We can set our hearts, minds, and attitudes to a much higher elevation than where we currently are.
Revelations 21 prophesies about a “new heaven” and a “new earth.” (V 6-7) I believe that we should strive for this every single day. Can you imagine living a life in a new world where the old has passed away? That means it’s completely gone! That means things that happened in the old world don’t matter anymore. They have passed away. Every ache and pain you experienced in the old world, you don’t feel anymore. This is the Starr Life. The Starr Life is a conscience effort to live life in a new world and spreading that to everyone around you.

How to achieve the Starr Life:

BE POSITIVE
Proverbs 18:21 tells us that life and death exist in the power of our tongue. The language we use shapes our worldview. So, if I use my tongue to speak death language and that language creates my worldview, wow! As people, we don’t only use language to send messages, we also receive. So if I’m constantly surrounding myself around people who use death language and language shapes my worldview, wow again! Based on this logic, I can use my language appropriately and surround myself with others who do the same and my outlook on life would improve. How easy does that sound?

BE GENEROUS
Acts 20:35 tells us that it is more a blessing to give than to receive. I could go on and on about how much my life has improved since I’ve become a giver but I’ll save these stories for later. The biggest thing that I think giving to others does for us is takes the primary focus of life off of us and onto the general good of mankind. In a world where every person was looking out for the true best interests of everyone…..the best interests of everyone..away from laws, not needing to be debated; this is simply aiding others in being able to carry out the original purpose and intent of mankind.

HAVE FUN
The Starr Life is fun guys. We must constantly put ourselves in a position where we are able to enjoy being alive and free. Get out of the house, go out of town, find a hobby, live your passion. Do what you want to do. Excuses are only meant to create a community of people who share a common sentiment- self-pity. Avoid excuses. Think about what you’d like to do for fun, think about all of the possible excuses why you “can’t” do that…..Convinced yourself again that you really can’t do that thing? Well then, back to the brainstorming session. If you can’t think of anything fun that you currently have access to, then you need to learn yourself better or redefine what fun means. Fun should be anything that allows you to experience moments of happiness.

REMAIN PEACEFUL
What does it mean to be at peace? Does it mean that issues don't arise? Heck no! Peace is our response to problems. Peace means that we can be told that we were just laid off of our job and owe the company half of our savings, yet understand that this may suck but the world isn't going to end. Think about your life now and name three "bad" things that have happened to you. You're still here to tell those stories aren't you? So peace is knowing that problems will come but knowing that you won't let them get the best of you and turn your world upside down because it's going to be okay.

To wrap this thing up, The Starr Life is just all about "living above our means." Now typically that saying is used in terms of finances when you're spending more money than you have to keep up with the in-crowd, but I'm using that phrase referring to mentality. Even if your life isn't all that and you don't have it all figured out, act like you do. It's so easy to stay moped up and wallowing in life about what we don't have and didn't get, but that's not going to get us anywhere.

The Starr Life is not something that I'm necessarily making up. I'm just putting a cool name to bring awareness to what should be basic principles of life on how we should be living life in order to be happy human beings. In addition to me ranting and raving, I will highlight people in our society who are working towards bringing The Starr Life principles to others around them. Let's change the affect of our society and shoot for the stars! That change can start with us.
